About

Pixel Verdict started as a group chat where a few of us kept swapping screenshots of games we couldn't stop playing. At some point the notes got long enough that a proper site made more sense than another thread. So here we are.

We cover every genre we can get our thumbs on. Puzzles, role-playing, strategy, racing, arcade throwbacks, quiet little simulators. If it runs on a phone and there's something worth saying about it, it fits.

Games get picked the simple way: someone plays one long enough to form an opinion, then we argue about it. Nothing goes up until at least one editor has spent real time with it, not just the tutorial. We don't chase release-day traffic, so we take the time to see how a game feels after the shine wears off.

We're a small independent crew. No publisher tells us what to write, and we'd rather say a game got boring than pretend otherwise.

Lukas Berger — Lukas has been reviewing games since the days of feature phones and still keeps a drawer full of old handhelds. He handles most of the puzzle and strategy write-ups.
