Emberfall Saga

Emberfall Saga packs a shockingly full role-playing experience into a phone. You build a party of four, each with skill trees that actually branch in meaningful ways, and the combat rewards you for reading enemy patterns instead of mashing attack.

The writing is the surprise here. Side quests have proper little arcs, and a couple of the companion stories stuck with me longer than I expected from a mobile RPG. Grinding is optional if you plan your fights well, which I appreciated.

My one gripe is the menu clutter early on, but once you understand the systems it opens up nicely. Give it a couple of hours.
