Three habits that made me better at Tideborn Command
I lost my first handful of battles in Tideborn Command by charging in. The game quietly punishes aggression, and once I slowed down everything changed.
First habit: scout before you commit. Sending one fast ship ahead to reveal enemy positions saved me from countless ambushes.
Second: use the terrain. Islands block sightlines, and hiding a squadron behind one lets you strike from an angle the enemy can't defend.
Third: don't fight every ship. Some missions are about controlling lanes, not sinking everything. Once I started ignoring bait ships, my win rate climbed fast.
None of this is in the tutorial, which is part of why the game feels rewarding to learn.
