Tilt or touch? Testing steering in Neon Drift Rally

Neon Drift Rally offers both touch buttons and tilt steering, and I was curious whether the choice really mattered. Turns out it does, a lot.

With touch controls the game is precise and predictable, which suits tight technical tracks. But I found my thumb blocked part of the screen during the flashiest sections.

Tilt steering felt looser at first, but after twenty minutes it became second nature and the drifts flowed better. My best times all came from tilt.

My advice: give tilt a proper hour before you dismiss it. If you're on a bumpy commute, though, switch back to touch. The car doesn't care that the bus hit a pothole.
